🎄❄️ After a wonderfully busy summer, Lazy Rock has settled into winter mode.

The snow is falling, the lights are glowing, and we’re taking it easy—enjoying peaceful rides and walks through the park, and a well-earned rest.

Power's back on at Lazy Rock!

After a few days without power, we’re happy to share that things are back up and running at Lazy Rock. A heartfelt thank-you to all our guests who stayed with us through the outage — whether you had a generator or embraced the rustic side of camping, your patience and good spirits truly meant a lot.

Thank you to all the hardworking folks around here who stepped up to get things back up and running — from restoring power to clearing roads and keeping people safe. We’re grateful for everything you’ve done behind the scenes (and out in the thick of it) to help the region bounce back.

It’s a relief to have lights, showers, and air conditioning again… though, the lake is still the best way to beat the heat! 😎

🌪️ Storm Update from Lazy Rock 🌲
As many of you have heard, a (unconfirmed) tornado touched down near us and caused significant damage in parts of the region. While the storm passed through Lazy Rock, we’re relieved to share that the (unconfirmed) tornado itself did not hit the park.

We experienced some minor damage, but the important news is — everyone is safe and the park is open. 💚

Our hearts go out to everyone in the community affected by the storm — especially guests and staff at Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park, which appears to have been hit hard. At this time, we don’t have further information, but we’re thinking of all those impacted.

Our team is out today handling cleanup and repairs, and everything is well under control. Huge thanks to those who pitched in or reached out to check on us — your support means the world.

📍 Please note:

There are road closures in the area, so be sure to check 511on.ca and plan alternate routes if you’re heading our way.

The power is currently out, but Hydro One has posted that they expect restoration by this evening.

If you’ve got a stay coming up, no need to worry — we’re ready for you. Lazy Rock is standing strong, and we can’t wait to welcome you back for some well-earned rest and nature time. 😎🌲

🎄✨ Our tiny team of gingerbread men is hard at work, sprinkling holiday cheer and getting Lazy Rock ready for an amazing 2025 season! They’re shoveling snow, stringing lights, and even mowing the snow (because gingerbread logic 🍪🚜).
