Another Amazing weekend at Moonshadows Campground.

We had lots of visitors and some that were attending the Bass Coast Music Festival.

It’s always fun seeing the kids and parents enjoying the tranquility of the Coldwater River only footsteps from their campsite.

Well summer has come early and the campground is looking great.
We had a full house here last weekend which means the camping season has started early.

The Colwater River is flowing good and I think our river soaking days will come earlier this year.

Make sure to call Gayle at our front office and book your summer holiday.

We have great options for dry campers too right on the river!!

We have found tanning weather !!!

But it’s always nice to have a nice tent spot in the shade.

We have had more tenters than normal, but we have the room.

So nice to see people getting out on the road and enjoying our Moon Shadows RV Campground Merritt BC.

It’s been a nice weekend for the tenters.

Little bit of shade in the trees and a nice bbq for dinner.

These people are out in their Harley for a day cruise and enjoying the sights !!

Nice to see some of our 4 legged residents stopping in for lunch. Here are 7 mule deer that were feeding in our back field. We love how the wildlife surrounds Moon Shadows RV Campground Merritt BC.

Looks like the Big Rigs are on the road for the travelling season. This beauty slipped in right by the river for a couple days.

Well May has been mild but it’s a beautiful time to camp at Moonshadows RV Park.

The floods knocked us down for a bit, but the park is up and running. The grass is growing!!!

Please come see us this summer. We appreciate all the support after flood that we encountered.

WHERE has the summer gone??? The last 18 months have been a bit of a blur for us at the campground. Between Covid-19 and its variants, the travel bans, the fires and smoke, and the urgency of people needing to go camping, has provided us with some very interesting experiences to say the least.
The past few weeks we have been hosting evacuees from Lytton, Logan Lake, Lower Nicola, Brookmere, Tunkwa Lake and the Kane Valley. It was a pleasure to be of assistance to some of the nicest people we have met in all our years of campground management who, even in face of possibly losing everything, were still gracious and kind to us and to each other.
Lonni, Monique and Gina, the Merritt ESS staff with whom we dealt directly are the most hardworking, efficient ladies who appear to be unflappable in all situations. Love you all.
The skies over the campground are a beautiful blue with a few puffy white clouds and no smoke as we look forward to Labour Day Weekend and a beautiful Fall Season.
There are some spots still available for those times so there is still time to get one more camping trip in before winter.
Don't forget our Annual Halloween at Thanksgiving Event scheduled for October 9, 2021. Great fun for the youngsters (and oldsters too! )
By the way, we had a close-up visitor this morning and Terri was able to snap a photo so we can share it with you all.
