What To Do at Miller’s Family Camp?

Maybe you’ve just arrived, or perhaps you’ve already been here for a few days and are wondering, “What is there to do around the camp?”

We’ve got you covered!

There’s plenty to keep the whole family busy — whether you’re looking for some activity, a little adventure, or simply a place to relax.

Enjoy the Beach

Our sandy beach is perfect for swimming, playing in the sand, or simply spending a relaxing afternoon by the lake. We have plenty of sand toys for the kids, along with water volleyball for those who want a little competition.

Beach chairs are provided, and there are picnic tables and benches throughout the campground where you can sit and enjoy the outdoors.

Play Some Games

There are lots of ways to have some fun around camp, including:

• Two playgrounds with swings, slides, and lots of sand
• Giant Connect Four
• Giant Checkers
• Ping Pong
• Shuffleboard
• Horseshoes
• Ladder Golf
• And more!

Whether you have little ones who need to burn off some energy or you’re looking for a little friendly competition, there’s usually a game waiting to be played!

Bringing your own boat or recreational watercraft? We also have a boat launch available for our campers.

Relax & Unwind

Not every vacation needs to be busy!

If you’d rather slow down, grab a book from our little lending library, work on a puzzle, or play a game with the family, we have a selection of books, games, and puzzles available for campers to borrow. For those fishermen, we have a fishing pier and we sell bait at the office.

And, of course, sometimes the best thing to do is simply find a chair by the lake, sit back, and enjoy the view.

There’s no shortage of things to do at Miller’s Family Camp — but there’s also no pressure to do anything at all. We just want you to enjoy your time here!

Dog of the Week! 🐾

☀️ August is flying by! 🌲🌊

It’s hard to believe we’re already in the middle of August. There’s still plenty of summer left to enjoy at Miller’s Family Camp!

Spend a few days slowing down and enjoying the simple things—morning coffee by Miller Lake, a swim at the beach, an afternoon out in a boat, fishing from the shore, or gathering around the campfire when the sun goes down. 🔥

If you haven’t made it up to Miller Lake yet this summer, there’s still time! We have campsites available throughout August and into September, and cottages available starting Saturday, August 22nd. There’s still plenty of summer left to enjoy a few days by the lake before the season winds down!

Bring the family, bring your camping gear, and come enjoy a few days away from the everyday.

Meet the Miller Fish!

Hanging on display in our office/convenience store are two magnificent fish that were caught right here in Miller Lake!

First up: Our Smallmouth Bass
Unfortunately, we don't know its length, weight, or the date it was caught. But just look at those beautiful green scales! Even after all these years, its colouring is still remarkably vibrant.

And then there's the Northern Pike!
This is one impressive fish—44.5 inches long and weighing 21 lbs! It was caught by Kurt Wachtveitl on July 30, 1976.

That means this extraordinary Miller Lake Pike has just reached its 50th anniversary! Fifty years ago, it was swimming in Miller Lake—and today, it remains a wonderful piece of our lake's fishing history.

Now, there's just one thing missing...

They need names!

What would you name our Smallmouth Bass and our 50-year-old Northern Pike? Put your best ideas in the comments below; we may choose the winning names!

*Don’t Forget About Our Camp Convenience Store!*

Forgot something at home? Need a few essentials for your campsite? Or maybe you just need an ice cream to make the afternoon a little sweeter?

Here at Miller’s Family Camp, we have a convenience store located in our office and we stock a little bit of everything to help make your camping trip even better!

Camping essentials:
Firelighters and matches, firewood and fire starters, shampoo and conditioner, toothbrushes and toothpaste, dish soap, paper plates and cups, plastic forks, bug spray and repellent, sunscreen and more!

Campfire Favourites:
Marshmallows, Celebration cookies and chocolate, and of course, roasting sticks — everything you need for a proper campfire s’more!

Food & Snacks:
Chocolate bars, candy, bubble gum, chips, granola bars, cookies, condiments, honey, pop, bread, milk, tea, coffee and more.

Something cold and sweet:
Is it really summer without an ice cream? We have ice cream sandwiches, cones and Freezies!

Ice and fishing bait:
If you need to keep your food and drinks cold, we sell bags of ice.
We also sell bait for all those fishermen!

Miller’s Family Camp merchandise:
Show your camp spirit with our classic pocket hoodies, zip-up hoodies, caps, jogging pants and T-shirts. We have a variety of sizes and colours available — just ask!
