DZOFILM ARLES FF/VV PRIME KIT — NOW AVAILABLE AT CANADA FILM EQUIPMENT
The DZOFILM ARLES Prime series brings together modern optical performance with a subtle cinematic character, designed for Full Frame and VistaVision productions. With a 46.5mm image circle, fast apertures and consistent mechanics across the series, ARLES is built for high-end narrative, commercial and cinematic work.

THE ARLES LOOK
ARLES delivers a clean, high-resolution image without feeling overly clinical. Wide open, the lenses introduce a softer, lower-contrast rendering, with smooth transitions between the focused and defocused areas and a subtle swirling quality toward the edges of the bokeh. A 16-blade iris helps produce smooth, rounded highlights and an organic falloff.
The fast T1.4 maximum aperture across most of our set also makes ARLES particularly attractive for available-light and low-light cinematography while providing strong subject separation and shallow depth of field. The 14mm extends the set dramatically wider at T1.9, while the 135mm T1.8 adds compression and a beautifully shallow telephoto perspective.
From a technical standpoint, the series features 95mm front diameters, 0.8 MOD cine gearing, 270° focus rotation and consistent focus/iris gear positioning, making lens changes easier when working with matte boxes, follow-focus systems and FIZ motors. Low-dispersion glass is used to control chromatic aberration, while the wider 14mm, 21mm and 25mm designs incorporate aspherical elements to help control distortion, coma and other aberrations.
