It is with mixed emotions that we are announcing the time has come for Ross and Dominique to begin a new adventure. It has been ten years since we bought the old presbytery in Montebello, Quebec, transforming it into an award-winning boutique hotel - the Manoir Chamberland.

We want to thank our friends, the town of Montebello, the Historical Society of Louis Joseph Papineau, the church parish of Notre-Dame de Bonsecours, the citizens and local businesses who have been so supportive of the restoration of this magnificent building. We have always only felt like custodians, and it has been a pleasure and honour to have provided this iconic structure another one hundred years of life.

The new owners will be taking possession today May 1. They are passionate restaurateurs, sommeliers and hoteliers, already with an established hotel and restaurant in the region. This is exciting news for our clients, who will be getting enhanced services in the near future. Think spa…. Think on site restaurant & dining for dinners - think a speak easy bar open to the public, think that the Manoir will now be open year round - all of the services many of you have asked for some time!
Attached are some visuals of a prototype menu that the new chef is exploring, and some photos of the spa and message centre soon to be completed!

We will be moving back to Vancouver, British Columbia, which still feels like our ‘home’ even after being in this part of the world for 15 years. A heartfelt thank you to each and everyone of you!

C'est avec des sentiments partagés que nous annonçons que le moment est venu pour Ross et Dominique de se lancer dans une nouvelle aventure. Dix ans se sont écoulés depuis que nous avons acquis l'ancien presbytère de Montebello, au Québec, pour le transformer en un hôtel-boutique primé : le Manoir Chamberland.

Nous tenons à remercier nos amis, la Ville de Montebello, la Société historique Louis-Joseph Papineau, la paroisse Notre-Dame-de-Bonsecours, les citoyens et les entreprises locales qui ont apporté un soutien précieux à la restauration de ce magnifique bâtiment. Nous nous sommes toujours sentis comme des gardiens, et ce fut un plaisir et un honneur d'avoir offert à cette structure emblématique un siècle de plus.

Les nouveaux propriétaires prendront possession des lieux aujourd'hui, le 1 mai. Ce sont des restaurateurs, sommeliers et hôteliers passionnés, déjà propriétaires d'un hôtel et un restaurant établi dans la région. C'est une excellente nouvelle pour nos clients, qui bénéficieront prochainement de services améliorés. Pensez spa… Pensez un speak easy bar ouvert au publique, Pensez au restaurant et à la salle à manger sur place pour vos dîners ! Le Manoir sera désormais ouvert toute l'année et vous offrira tous les services que vous avez demandés depuis longtemps !

Vous trouverez ci-joint des visuels de menu que le nouveau chef est en train d'explorer, ainsi que quelques photos du spa et du centre de massage qui seront bientôt terminés !

Nous allons bientôt retourner à Vancouver, en Colombie-Britannique, où nous nous sentons toujours comme chez nous, même après 15 ans passés dans cette région du monde.
