Artiste canadienne, Sabrina Ratté () crée des univers où architecture, technologie et nature se transforment mutuellement.

Dans Archipels, des structures inspirées de l’amphithéâtre classique s’intègrent progressivement à des écosystèmes en mouvement. Floralia imagine quant à elle un espace virtuel peuplé d’une flore en mutation, à la frontière du naturel et de l’artificiel.

Deux œuvres, deux atmosphères : l’une lumineuse et architecturale, l’autre organique, immersive et mystérieuse.

Canadian artist Sabrina Ratté () creates worlds in which architecture, technology, and nature continually transform one another.

In Archipels, structures inspired by the classical amphitheatre gradually merge with evolving ecosystems. Floralia imagines a virtual space inhabited by mutating flora, at the boundary between the natural and the artificial.

Two works, two atmospheres: one luminous and architectural, the other organic, immersive, and mysterious.

✨ Lux Æterna · A JOURNEY ACROSS SEVEN LEVELS
At SonoLux, the exhibition is not contained within a single gallery. It unfolds gradually, from the lobby to the 6th floor.

Each level becomes an intimate screening room dedicated to one artwork. Alone with the image and sound, visitors can slow down, look closely, and enter each artist’s world, away from the usual pace of a group exhibition.

In the staircase, Alain Thibault’s sound work STS-41B accompanies the journey and connects the different spaces.

Seven levels. Seven artworks. One journey through light, sound, and worlds in transformation.

✨ Lux Æterna · UN PARCOURS SUR SEPT NIVEAUX
À SonoLux, l’exposition ne se visite pas dans une seule salle. Elle se découvre progressivement, du hall jusqu’au 6e étage.

Chaque niveau devient une petite salle de projection intime, consacrée à une œuvre. Seul face à l’image et au son, le visiteur peut ralentir, regarder et entrer pleinement dans l’univers de chaque artiste, loin du rythme habituel d’une exposition collective.

Dans l’escalier, l’œuvre sonore STS-41B d’Alain Thibault accompagne le déplacement et relie les différents espaces.

Sept niveaux. Sept œuvres. Un parcours à travers la lumière, le son et des mondes en transformation.

Pour Alain Thibault (), commissaire de Lux Æterna, la lumière n’est pas seulement un phénomène physique ou un matériau visuel. Elle est une force génératrice, capable de faire naître des formes, des structures et des environnements.

Alain Thibault présente également STS-41B, une œuvre audio stéréo de 20 minutes qui accompagne le parcours dans l’escalier de SonoLux. Inspirée par la première sortie dans l’espace sans attache de Bruce McCandless, par Lux Aeterna de György Ligeti, les communications de la NASA () et les percussions du théâtre Nô japonais, la composition relie différentes expériences de l’espace, de la lumière et du temps.

For Lux Æterna curator Alain Thibault (), light is more than a physical phenomenon or visual material. It is a generative force capable of creating forms, structures, and environments.

Alain Thibault also presents STS-41B, a 20-minute stereo audio work accompanying visitors through the SonoLux staircase. Inspired by Bruce McCandless’s first untethered spacewalk, György Ligeti’s Lux Aeterna, NASA () communications, and Japanese Noh theatre percussion, the composition connects different experiences of space, light, and time.
