This superb open space loft of 2000 square feet is situated on the 2nd floor of a circa 1892 stone heritage building protected by the Cultural Heritage Act in the Old Port of Montreal. A half block away from the legendary Notre Dame Basilicca, experience true old-world charm with hand-hewn beams, wood flooring and exposed stone masonry along with the modern conveniences of today.
Four floor to ceiling french windows offer you bright and airy views onto Notre Dame. Sit on the deep window ledges and people-watch or listen for the occassional horse drawn carriages that pass by.
The living area is well appointed with ultra comfortable sofas, a stone coffee table, and a new 60" plasma TV. Cable television with both French and English speaking channels is provided. Bring a laptop computer and use the HDMI cable to play DVDs. There's high speed Wi-Fi and also a Wii for gaming entertainment.
There's a large wood dining table that easily accommodates 8-10 people with a unique crystal chandelier to create a romantic evening atmosphere. The kitchen is well equiped for those who want to enjoy a meal at home and includes stainless steel refrigerator, stove & dishwasher, along with a Keurig, microwave, toaster & blender. Don't like to cook? Then walk next door to Starbucks, or across the street to McDonalds, or venture along the streets to one of the great patisseries or world-renowned restaurants.
There are two sleeping areas; one upstairs is partially private and includes a king size Tempurpedic Grand Bed. Downstairs there's a queen bed with a privacy screen. There's also plenty of room for an aero-bed available upon request.
The bathroom is unique and completely remodeled with a deep soaking tub, a mutli-jet rain shower, and an infrared 2-person sauna. There's also a washer & dryer.
Well located in the Old Port, this unique loft is a short walking distance to Montreal's major attractions such as the Montreal Grand Prix, Montreal Jazz Festival, Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, year round international fireworks displays, free concerts and the Underground City.
Bus service is half a block away & the Metro (subway) service is within a five minute walk. There's also a taxi stand right around the corner. Easy access to Casino de Montreal, Biodome, Planetarium Science Museum, IMAX Cinema and Mont Royal Park is available. Winter sports and resorts are within a one hour drive.
