Did you know...?

💫 The Muskoka Lakes Hotel is situated in a qauint village. These stores are located on the main strip.

💫 across from this is Pete from Pete's links. His street meat burgers and dogs attract customers all year long. A Muskoka icon.

💫 While not all stores are open beyond summer months, the village itself is so nice to explore.

💫 In addition to heritage stores, there is a grocery store, liquor store, pharmacy, library, clothing stores, and some yummy places to eat. Other than that nature takes priority.

✔The Wall ranks as one of Canada’s most surprising roadside attractions

✔it may look like one big pic, however it is a also an awe-inspiring mosaic of 9,028 pictures strategically placed together!!

✔Viewed up close, however, each individual photo captures a moment of time in the lives of residents of Port Carling during the village’s first century (circa 1860-1960).

✔ This was a big project. To locate, collect, and digitally scan the photographs, the project had support from the Township of Muskoka Lakes, its museum, library and volunteers.

✔The main image was the RMS Sagamo passing through the Port Carling locks circa 1922.

✔It's size? 111-by-45-foot!!
