Camp Valhalla is a family-friendly retreat and RV paradise on the shores of Summit Lake, BC. Camp Valhalla is a place where your whole family can thrive.

Located 16 km southeast of Nakusp, we offer a pristine lakeside camping experience and endless recreation opportunities for people of all ages. The majority of our 75 campsites are fully serviced, including water, power, and sewer hookups, as well as full access to all campground amenities (hello, hot showers!) Reliable sitewide WiFi, laundry facilities, and our close proximity to town make this a comfortable place to set up camp, whether you plan on staying for a couple of nights or a couple of months. Our pristine lakefront setting offers ample opportunities for swimming, boating, and fishing, as well as easy access to hiking, biking, and ATV trails. An on-site playground and kids’ bike pump track make this a special place for kids to run free and play hard. Whether you’re brand new to camping, or honouring longstanding summer holiday traditions, we can’t wait to host you!

What a September season it has been! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for coming our way, it has been an absolute pleasure hosting you all. Mother Nature sure offered up the best fall weather, we are so grateful ✨

We are open for a few more days here, email us if you want to squeeze one last peaceful campout in for the season.

Camp is sooo quiet the next few days, all waterfront sites are open!

Many of you are asking about next year bookings. Here are the details:

Online booking for the 2027 season will open Feb 1, 2027 at 10:00 am PST.

If you are interested in booking a reunion or a group camp (3 sites or more for the same 7 days or more), or you would like to book an extended stay (1 site for 10 days or more), we offer booking with us before February 1st via email.

Send us an email anytime now with your requests to pre-book groups or extended stays anytime before February 1, and we will do our best to make everyone happy.

Please send us your top 3 date and site requests as these group pre bookings are very popular. We are taking requests now and will start the process of booking groups and extended stays throughout October.

Please email us with any questions, we understand group bookings and reunions can be complicated but are always worth all the effort!

Happy September everyone!

Wishing you parents all the best in your back to school hustle! If you are not in the back to school go go stage of life, or you can sneak away for one more camping weekend, we highly recommend September here at camp✨

Sweet, peaceful fall camping has begun, and camp is about to get very very quiet as all the darling kids head on back to school this week. We have plenty of great availability today onwards, and we are staying open all September until October 1 ✨🏕️

Here is today’s (August 2) air quality update✨ we have been getting many questions about if we have smoke here, and here is a pic of the beautiful skies this am. We have been really lucky so far. The air quality fluctuates throughout the day but this is the current status. Please don’t hesitate to reach out for updates and hope to see you up here, happy August long everyone!

Time for a reintroduction! 👋

For those of you we haven’t had the chance to meet yet, we’re Becky & Cory, the faces behind Camp Valhalla✨

Posting on social media definitely isn’t one of our strengths, so we thought it was time to say hello again.

We’re already well into the summer season, and it’s been such a great one so far. We’ve loved welcoming familiar faces back and meeting so many first-time guests.

We feel incredibly lucky to have the privilege of caring for this special place going on 6 years now, alongside our incredible staff team. Their hard work, joy, kindness, and dedication help make Camp Valhalla the special place it is, and we couldn’t do it without them.

Camp Valhalla is so much more than just a campground to us—it’s a place to slow down, reconnect with nature, connect with loved ones, and make lasting memories. It’s an honour to be the caretakers of this little piece of paradise.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. Whether you’ve been coming here for years or are just discovering Camp Valhalla, we’re so grateful you’re here and that you’ve chosen to be part of it all.

July and August are looking quite full, but please don’t hesitate to send us an email to see what’s available. It’s us on the other side of those emails, and we’re always happy to help find you a spot.

And don’t forget—we’re open until October 1 again this year! September is one of our favourite times at camp, with quieter days, beautiful late-summer weather, crisp mornings, and plenty of availability. If you’ve been thinking about a getaway, we’d love to welcome you.

Less than one months until kiddos are out of school and the glorious free range camping season is upon them!Not too late to book your summer camp outs if you haven’t yet✨

What kid isn’t ready to bust out of sitting in class to switch for days full of swimming, beaching, playing in bare feet, making new camp friends, and daily icecream?!

June is always a special quiet season at camp before summer holidays kicks, so if you are looking for extra peaceful camp moments before all the darling children roll in, we can’t recommend June enough.

Campfires are still permitted in our region so all the nostalgic camping feels are in full swing✨

We still have great camping availability starting today onwards if you can make it our way (group sites too).

We are staying open all September this season so fall camping will be on again.

We are now officially open for the 2026 season!

A massive thank you to all our incredible staff for the epic teamwork push to get camp looking so darn lovely for opening day. Words can’t express how many work parties, and how much love and sweat goes into these heavenly grassy grounds. Our staff are simply the best👏👏👏
