Please join me in welcoming explorer Katie Graham to Nelson's biggest stage. Among her many accolades, Katie discovered Bisaro Anima, believed to be the deepest cave in Canada (located just outside of Fernie). She's a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society and the co-founder of Minus 90, a caving apparel company.
We'll start the evening with a screening of Subterranean, the 53-minute documentary featuring Katie that swept the awards circuit—including Best Adventure Film at Banff Mountain Film Festival, Best Adventure + Exploration Film at Kendal Mountain Festival, and Best Canadian Film at Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival.
After the film, Katie will join me on stage for a candid conversation about her drive to push deeper into Bisaro Anima, her decision to leave corporate accounting for expedition life, why she created Minus 90, and what she's exploring next.
