Another one bites the dust! Number 49 to be exact. This tenor scale board ukulele was modeled after Brian May's Red Special guitar. The body is THREE skateboards thick and is a semi hollow body construction to keep the weight down while adding resonance. It has two single coil Wilkonson pickups on a three way switch with volume and tone controls. The neck is also a maple skateboard with a rosewood fretboard, silver nickle frets with white position markers. Plus chrome.....chrome everything !

Back in August I delivered my first hmi x board ukulele collaboration uke to hmi skatepark, the ukulele. Hippie Mike was so stoked that he disappeared and brought out his daily driver, pulled off the trucks and said "this is for our next collab". I wanted to keep as much of the graphic as possible so I cut the neck pocket into the body and moved that section of graphic onto the fretboard. I also made a custom pickup cover to match the body, carved a colourful skateboard for the neck and used a chunk of skateboard wood to complete the fretboard. 100%skateboard wood electric ukulele. RZ048 will be auctioned off to help save hmi skatepark so give them a follow and keep your eyes open for the auction to go live.

The Blue Meanie is the latest and electric tenor ukulele to come out of the board ukulele workshop. Had to leave the Ed Templeton Toy Machine graphic on the back. Gave it a vibrant skateboard neck, maple fret board with matching skateboard dowel fret markers. I love the way the Blue ply popped through the headstock during the flattening process. What else can I say, it shreds!

My latest baritone board ukulele has found its way to its new owner. of the band Thrice! My client traveled to Vancouver to see Thrice play at the Commodore Ballroom and personally handed it over to Teppei. It sounds like Teppei and the entire band are thrilled to have a new instrument in their arsenal.

Another baritone skatercaster has just come out of the workshop. RZ046 is only my fourth baritone but everytime I build one I'm impressed by the deep warm tone compared to a tenor scale ukulele. This bari has two single coil pickups on a three way switch so you can play the neck pickup for the warm sound, the bridge for some twang or both to find the middle ground. The customer asked me to leave the wing and I'm glad he did because it adds a bust of colour that dips behind the pickguard and reappears by the bridge. I also left the Anti Hero logo on the back of the uke. There is another surprise in-store for this bariton so keep your eyes out!

Tis the season for another snowboard ukulele. RZ045 is a custom build headed to Langley. Started out as a Lib Tech skunk ape, now a semi-hollow body election tenor ukulele with a humbucker and a skateboard neck. I used as much of the graphic as I could including a headstock veneer and jack plate. Has a maple fretboard with nickle silver frets, all black k hardware and is loud enough to wake the dead.

I reached out to Hippie Mike in Hope bc after a customer of mine suggested he would have some old boards for me. Mike asked what I do with them and the conversation quickly turned to a collaboration ukulele between board ukulele co. and hmi skatepark. Straight away I could only think about one board that I could use. I've been holding on to my son's two boards for just such a project and here it is. It took a ton of time and measurements to make sure all the hardware landed in just the right spot on the graphic but it worked out so good. Just look at it! HMI branding on the faux truss rod cover in the shape of Andy's board and don't miss the fire hydrant cavity cover on the back.
