Every autumn, as the reservoir levels begin to recede for the winter, the familiar shoreline completely transforms. The wide waters of midsummer give way to quiet channels, vast sandy flats, and a stark, grounded beauty that only the locals and seasonal crews get to see.
It’s the quietest time of year out here. No boat engines, no packed beaches—just the sound of the wind through the pines and the land taking a deep breath until the snow melt fills the basin next spring.
