It's time for , campers!

Combine prehistoric finds with all the benefits of modern camping at this week's KOA. Strategically located near Route 191, this campground is the perfect pit stop for Western road trippers.

The campground's variety of RV sites accommodates everyone, from the van lifers to the motorhome enthusiasts. Choose from pull-thru, back-in, or KOA Patio sites and spend less time setting up and more time relaxing. No RV? No problem. Stay in a ultra-comfy Deluxe Cabin or a classic tent site.

The area is known for its abundance of dino finds. Under 20 miles away is Dinosaur National Monument, where you can see over 1,500 fossils on exposed cliff face. Other state parks in the area provide boating and fishing with views of dinosaur tracks along the way. After you've channeled your inner paleontologist, camp is a welcome respite. Challenge your fellow campers to a game of horseshoes or giant jenga, cool off in the pool, or take in a movie under the stars.

Ever wanted to watch a rocket launch while you camp? 🚀

SpaceX launched Starship's 14th test flight and first attempt to go to orbit from Starbase Texas a few weeks ago, and it was a sight to behold from South Padre Island KOA Holiday. SPI offers a unique experience to campers where they can enjoy the coastal breeze, Texas beaches, and the occasional rocket lift off!

A fresh cabin doesn’t happen by accident! Meet Winfred, one of the hardworking faces behind our housekeeping team.

Before guests arrive, Winfred is busy getting cabins and washrooms ready for the next group of campers. From cleaning and sanitizing to refreshing supplies, checking amenities and taking care of all the little details, she helps make sure guests walk into a space that feels fresh, comfortable and ready for their stay.

There’s a lot that goes into turning a cabin over between guests, and much of it happens quietly behind the scenes. Winfred takes care of the details that help everything feel just right, from clean kitchens and bathrooms to tidy spaces and fully stocked supplies.

One of the things Winfred enjoys most about working at KOA is that there’s always something new to learn. Every day can bring a different task, a different situation or a new way of doing something, and she enjoys gaining new skills along the way.

When she’s away from work, Winfred likes to slow things down with two of her favourite things: reading and listening to music. And when it comes to her ideal atmosphere, she appreciates a quiet environment, especially during the evening hours.

Housekeeping may happen behind closed doors, but the work makes a huge difference in every guest’s stay. Winfred is one of the people making sure those cabins are clean, comfortable and ready to welcome you when you arrive.

So the next time you open the door to a fresh KOA cabin, remember the people who made it ready for you!
