Canoe tripping has always been at the heart of the Camp Nominingue experience. 🛶🌲

From a first overnight adventure to extended wilderness expeditions, our canoe trips allow campers to explore some of Québec’s most beautiful landscapes while developing independence, teamwork, and confidence.
Depending on their age, campers venture into the wilderness of Parc national de Papineau-Labelle and Réserve faunique La Vérendrye. 🌿

Trips begin with an overnight adventure for our youngest campers and can extend up to 10 days in the backcountry for our 15-year-olds. 🏕️

Portaging forest trails, paddling across quiet lakes, cooking over the fire, and sleeping under the stars — these are the moments that become lifelong memories. ✨🔥

Because we believe in the importance of making camps accessible and in the many benefits they bring to young people’s development, Camp Nominingue is proud to announce that we will be hosting Destination C.A.M.P. for summer 2026. 🏕️

What is Destination C.A.M.P.?
It’s a program offered by the Quebec Camp Association that provides financial support for a 2- to 4-week summer camp experience for youth aged 11 to 17.

The program helps make the camp experience possible for more families, allowing young people to enjoy adventure, friendship, and personal growth in nature.

Applications are open until March 16, 2026.

At Camp Nominingue every morning starts with growth, choice and a whole lot of fun. 🌞

Each week, campers select two morning instructions, where they learn, practice, teach, and challenge themselves in the skills they love. With 20 different instructions, there’s something for every kind of Nomininguer:

Waterfront adventures like canoeing 🚣‍♂️, kayaking 🛶, sailing ⛵ and windsurfing 🌬️ Land activities like mountain biking 🚵‍♂️, archery 🎯 and athletics 🏃‍♀️ Wilderness skills like campcraft (fire building) 🔥, outdoor cooking 🍳, orienteering 🧭 and nature studies 🌿 Creative pursuits like theatre 🎭, wood working 🔨 , guitar 🎸 and even more!

Throughout the week, campers work toward earning their first, second, or third feathers, celebrating progress, effort, and curiosity. At the end of their stay, they receive their feather shield, proudly displaying every feather they’ve earned. Each summer, they bring it back to keep adding more. 🪶

Morning instructions are where confidence grows, passions are sparked, and memories are created for a lifetime. Want your son to dive into their favourite skills next summer?

🛶 The countdown is ON! 🏕️

Our incredible Work Camp crew is hard at work getting Camp Nominingue ready for our 100th summer season! 🎉

From painting canoes and cutting down dead trees 🌲 to stacking the wood shed and setting up tents, camp is slowly coming back to life — and we couldn’t be more excited!
In just 10 days, campers will arrive for what promises to be a historic summer! 🏞️

✨ Pre-Camp kicks off next Saturday, and we can’t wait to welcome our amazing staff back home.
