“What a spot! The location is just perfect for a stay in Burgeo. Close to amenities and friendly neighbours, but right on the water with an unobstructed view of the GORGEOUS surroundings. Watching the tide change surrounding all of the little islands from the perfectly situated "perch" of a deck was just magical and hard to leave. The house itself is so well laid out and decorated. The view from the dining room makes any family dinner a 10/10:) The kids loved all of the boardgames during the quieter hours in the evening after a day of adventure at Sandbanks. Meigan was so helpful, giving us all the tips on how to enjoy the different beaches with the kids and especially the lazy river at West beach! The whole stay was such a wonderful experience:)”

❌A little schedule update from The Old Store Café❌

Starting August 24th, we’ll be closing the café on Mondays and Tuesdays each week.

Our new hours will be:

Wednesday – Sunday
8:00am – 5:00pm

We’ll still be here Wednesday through Sunday for your morning coffee, lunch, treats and everything in between. Thanks so much for your continued support!

🌿📚 Parks Canada, in partnership with Writers at Woody Point Literary, is excited to bring you one of our favourite annual traditions: Writers in the Wild.

Join us for a guided walk through the forests and meadows of Lomond with acclaimed writers and musicians. Along the way, you'll experience the beauty of Gros Morne through storytelling, music, and nature. 🎶🌲

🕙 10 am to 12 pm
📍 Lomond Trail near Killdevil Camp

🚌 FREE transportation is available from the Heritage Theatre, departing at 9:20 am. Return is expected by 12:15 pm.

As this is an outdoor event, please come prepared for changing weather and insects. Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear suitable for open fields and forest trails. 🥾🦟
