As you may or may not be aware, Paul Dexter, Chief Steward of Northern Sea Wolf's B Watch has organized a fundraiser to raise money to replace four Ocean Falls' WW1 veteran's headstones which have become unreadable. Paul sent us 600 tickets and as of today we have about 200 left. There have been 2500 tickets printed and they are $2 each.
This is how we are going to handle our ticket sales in Ocean Falls:
1) Private message me on facebook with your name, address, phone number and email address and how many tickets you would like to purchase.
2) E-transfer your payment to [email protected] (Number of tickets X $2) Please ensure that you write a note in the email transfer that it is for the WW1 Veteran's Headstone fundraiser tickets.
3) We will write in your information on all of your tickets, take a picture of each ticket you have purchased and send it to you.
4) All ticket stubs sold in Ocean Falls will depart Ocean Falls on Northern Sea Wolf on Friday, May 31st to be present at the draw at the Comox Legion at 3 PM.
5) You do not have to have your physical ticket in order to win. The picture we send you of your tickets with your information will confirm that we have entered your name. If your name is drawn, you will be contacted from the information you have given us. (If you want us to mail you your physical tickets, add an extra dollar when you e-transfer your payment.)
The prizes are as follows:
1st Prize - Round-trip inside passage on BCF for two people and one vehicle between Prince Rupert and Port Hardy, with a 2 night stay at Kwa'lias Hotel in Port Hardy.
2nd Prize - Is a combination package with both gifts donated by NSQW crew members. It is a one-day fishing charter in Ladysmith donated by Laurence Spencer and a stunning framed wildlife printe donated by Captain Mike Robinson.
3rd Prize - 2 night stay at Old Bank Inn Bed and Board in Ocean Falls for 2 people. This includes all meals and a $100 ferry voucher. (As the ferry only stays for 1 night or 5 nights on the summer schedule, you may either apply the second night stay to another couple at the same time, or apply the 2 night stay towards a 5 night stay.)
We are really hoping to sell all tickets quickly. The headstones have already been ordered and it is anticipated that they will be installed later this year.
