Some idiot stuck a sign up in the town of Lac La Hache that says the water in the area, is on a boil water advisory.. Keep in mind, Lac La Hache has its own water system..
The Big Country Campground has it's own well and water system.. The water is drawn from a well 380 feet deep.. It is untreated, but like all public facilities in BC, a water sample is collected each week, and brought into the local health department for Government testing..
My water is totally pathogen free and safe for drinking... As it has been, for the last 48 years that the campground has been here...

Notice to campers using GPS...
Don't rely totally on GPS to locate my campground.. Google has me positioned correctly, but some campers have my location around 100 Mile House..
Keep in mind, I am located on hwy 97, 12 miles North of 100 Mile House, and about 2 miles South of Lac La Hache...

At my business, in Canada here, I proudly fly the American flag.. Aside from the fact that half my customers are American, I refuse to get pulled into this childish nonsense, of avoiding crossing the border, simply because the current US leader is fixated on Tariffs.. . I feel equally at home, whether in Canada, or the US..

I thought I would try something new... I get a lot of people, particular single woman who sleep in their car... They like the security of the campground here.. The problem is, even though I've given the single people a great deal, of 25 bucks, including tax.. to spend the night.. Which includes the pool use, showers, and wifi, most people come unprepared to spend the night.. I made up these bags, which I'll sell for 25 bucks, and they have everything an over-nighter could use.
Towel, soap, shampoo, conditioner, tooth paste and brush, hand lotion. Q tips, razor, mouth wash, brush and mirror, comb, a tide soap to rinse out one's underwear.. All in a handy little carrying case..
I may raise my single rate, no hookups, to 30 bucks, next year.. But even so.. That means the camper could have all the comforts of home, without having to pay hundreds of dollars for a motel or hotel room.

Really slow year.. Very few Americans, and almost zero Europeans.. Nevertheless, I thought I would let everyone know, the campground is up and running, open May 15th to Sept. 30th..
The Pool has been open from the last week in June, to the End of August, and I do my best to maintain a temperature between 81 and 83 F.
The showers are included with the cost, and every shower head has had the hole drilled out to a larger size, to allow more water to pass through.. Two free wifi connections are issued to each camper..
Here are my prices for 2 people, for 2023

No hookups.. $45
Power and water $50
Full hookups $51
50 amp.. Add on $6
Cabin $70
Extra people, 4 and over $4

Note: Gate closes 10 pm
All visitors must stop and register...
And.. Visitors are not permitted in the pool, or pool area..

Reservations have not been necessary this year, however, if you have a large class A, or 5th wheel, or you require 50 amp., I would recommend phoning ahead..
