JOB SUMMARY
The Service Technician is responsible for the complete servicing, proper use, clean up and promotion of all equipment owned by, contracted to, or handled by Way Power Solutions Inc. You will provide the highest quality of customer service, ensuring our corporate image and reputation, and thereby promoting growth. The Service Technician is required to abide by the Company’s health and safety policy and manual. The technician is also expected to perform other assignments as required by management.
JOB DUTIES
Maintain and repair customer generator systems to ensure reliable and trouble-free operations by:
1. Performing preventative maintenance inspections on power generator systems.
2. Performing major and minor repairs to various engines, generators, control systems, and power switching equipment.
3. Troubleshooting by testing complete system to ensure that the proper problem is identified. Repair and/or replace part(s) as required.
4. Retrofitting older equipment with newer technology subject to customer’s approval.
5. Carrying out start-up inspection of new or rebuilt equipment installations.
6. Ensuring proper in-house maintenance is performed on vehicles, workshop, yard, shop equipment and tools. Provide a safe and clean workplace.
7. Completing all required administrative work order documentation to ensure costs are correctly allocated and customer information is captured.
8. Promoting Way Power Solutions Inc to existing and new customers ensuring increased growth potential.
9. Picking up and delivering order parts and materials as required.
10. Starting up, repairing and maintaining all rental equipment operating by Way Power Solutions Inc.
11. Attending training courses provided for by the Company.
12. Load testing units.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
Service technicians will be expected at times to work in special conditions, including work environments where there is a potential for high noise level, heat, dirt and hazardous conditions.
Provide “On Call” services to customers ensuring emergency situations are responded to immediately by:
a. Being readily available for scheduled “on call” status .
b. Determine course of action required and follow through with customer’s approval.
Job Requirement
Minimum High School diploma, college an asset
Candidate must be fluently bilingual, English and French.
Candidate may be called to work at any time in the evenings and week-ends.
Candidate must be in good physical condition, punctual, dynamic, versatile, responsible, resourceful, show initiative and diplomacy.
This position is for full-time employment, 40 hours per week. The competitive salary will range from 20.00$ to 35.00$ per hour depending on the experience and the education level.
