NOTICE TO RESIDENTS
Traffic Sign Theft
The Town has recently become aware that traffic signs have been removed or stolen from various locations within the community.
Traffic signs are in place for the safety of motorists, pedestrians, cyclists, and emergency responders. Removing, damaging, or tampering with traffic signs is serious and may constitute a criminal offence.
The replacement of stolen signs also comes at a cost to the Town and, ultimately, to local taxpayers. More importantly, a missing stop sign, yield sign, warning sign, or other traffic control device can create a significant safety hazard and increase the risk of an accident.
If you have removed or have possession of a Town traffic sign, please return it to the Town Office immediately.
Residents are asked to report any information regarding the theft, removal, or damage of traffic signs to the Town Office or the RCMP.
Please help us keep our community safe and protect municipal property.

Please be advised that the Water Security Agency will conduct a small release of approximately 0.7 cubic metres per second (cms), beginning today, Thursday, August 20, 2026. This release will continue until the reservoir reaches its winter full supply level of 561.00 m, which is expected to last till January 2027.
In addition, operational testing is scheduled from Aug 20 to Aug 25, 2026.
Minimal downstream impacts are expected, as the release rate is low and flows should dissipate quickly within the channel.

If you’re out and about today, be sure to stop by The Little Shop of Found Things, located at the east entrance of LeeWay Mechanical.
It’s a great little shop featuring local artisans, Canadian-made products, gifts and all kinds of unique finds. And today, Silver Lotus Boutique is set up there with their mobile boutique from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Stop in and check them both out!

Congratulations to the Bow Valley Disc Golf Club to successfully hosting the 21st Annual Saskatchewan Open! As they welcomed players from across the region, including competitors who travelled from Saskatoon, Winnipeg and as far away as Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to experience disc golf here in Oxbow!

SaskToday was at Bow Valley Park to cover the disc golf action in Oxbow on August 15 and 16!
