Plan a whole evening of fun for the kids this Thursday, August 20! 🧸🌙

Start with our Stuffies Workshop from 3–4 pm, where kids can create their own stuffed animal friend, complete with an outfit, name, heart and custom birth certificate. Then, get your coziest PJs ready for stories, games and dinner at the PJ Party from 6–8:30 pm.

Every day at the beach looks a little different. Let the tides decide what’s on the agenda. ☀️
 
At high tide, rent a paddleboard from the Snack Shack, head out for a swim, or float along the coastline with the water just steps from shore.
 
When the tide rolls out, the beach transforms into the wide-open tidal flats that Tigh-Na-Mara and neighbouring Rathtrevor Beach are known for. Set up your blanket and umbrella, explore the tide pools, build sandcastles, fly a kite, and wander out across the wide-open sand. ⛱️
 
High tide or low tide, there’s always a good reason to head down to the beach.

Supporting local artists is one of the ways we celebrate Vancouver Island and the people who make it such a special place.

Meet Mike Bellis, a Haida artist from the Haida Nation of Old Massett, now creating from his studio in Nanoose Bay. Hand-carved from red and yellow cedar, Mike’s work draws inspiration from Haida culture, stories and the natural world, bringing generations of knowledge and craftsmanship into contemporary designs.

Discover his work in Pines Gift Shop and throughout Cedars Restaurant & Lounge. Each piece adds a meaningful connection to the rich artistic and cultural heritage of Vancouver Island while supporting local artists, makers and Indigenous-owned businesses.
