To clients and customers past, present and future of Halls Marina and Mill Lake Stone Quarry
As you may or may not yet be aware of. As of April 10, 2023 over 120 years of a family business has finally come to an end.
With a heavy heart , my father Lew Hall has completed the transaction of selling these two operating businesses. I know full well it was by far one of the hardest things he has ever had to do. And I for one have watched him do some of the hardest.
When he took over the executorship of the estate several years ago now, I know he certainly hoped ALL of the Hall siblings could come together, and keep this family business in operation for years to come. Not only for the customers but for all of the Halls (Bill and Dorthys offspring)
Time only made this apparent to him it would not be a possibility.
My father Lew has worked hard , tirelessly along side my mother Karen, to try to restore the property to the state it was in before it was left to be run down after my grandfather's passing. Leaving his own wife, children and grandchildren to travel to Ontario. Hours spent trying to be sure he could find the best for his father and mothers legacy , as well as ALL of his brothers and sisters
I think I speak for all the Hall family all over the country in saying , it's a very sad moment for us, we often wish it could be different, but we know it's the best thing .
The new owners, will have new and innovative ideas, perhaps creating local work and bringing cash flow into the economy as my grandfather used to do.
I hope this beautiful piece of heaven will remain similar to what my grandparents envisioned yet thrive for a new generation of people looking to have some tranquility in it's beautiful space.
For a brief time, the online presence I created will be in transition to the new ownership, so I ask all customers for the quarry and marina to please be patient until they can get their new ideas and connections for the future established. I'm confident it will be a matter of a few days and Jim has previously posted an in-term number. I would expect within a very short period of time they will make their own announcements about what the future holds on this page.
Again I want to wish the new owners a very prosperous future, let you know exactly how proud I am of my father, and to thank each and every person who ever patronized Mill Lake Stone Quarry or Halls Marina for giving all of the Hall family a legacy to be proud of.
Thank You
Best wishes to all
Carson J Hall
