Compassion isn’t an extra in paramedic care; it’s the heart of what we do. 💙
During Paramedic Services Week, we recognize the humanity, dignity, and connection our Peterborough County-City Paramedics bring to every call. Every response is more than clinical care, it’s reassurance, respect, and support when it matters most.
Here are real words shared by patients and families over the past year:
🚑 Patient dignity - “In the most painful and disorienting moment of my life, you treated my husband with dignity and respect as you performed your skills.”
🚑 Care beyond duty - “Your professionalism and diligence spoke volumes, not just with your training but of your humanity during care.”
🚑 Support in crisis - “This was the worst situation I had ever experienced as a mother, but somehow these paramedics were able to make this experience the best it could be. I am forever grateful… they truly are heroes.”
🚑 Compassion in grief - “Your kindness, professionalism and compassion did not go unnoticed. The way you communicated and how sincere you were assisted in my grief process and closure of this horrible event.”
🚑 Care that changes lives - “Thank you for all you did - not just the skills and effort, but how you approached my care. You made a difference in my life.”
