Lilac Lane B&B

09/26/2026

Saturday morning discoveries in the gardens. A few more tomatoes and squash and some lavender making a return. Lilac Lane is a little quieter, but the County is busy with the County Adaptation Film Festival (CAFF) and next week it’s the PEC Chamber Music Festival. Come and visit.

Some interesting and surprising colours around Lilac Lane. Some lilacs have returned along with some fall lavender. And our final collection of tomatoes for the season. They were delicious. It’s time to tidy up the gardens and head out to the Picton and Milford fairs and see what else is on offer. See you there!

Tostado con tomate with ham. This is a new breakfast dish that I made for my guests this morning. It’s been wonderful to hear so many different languages around the table-German, Spanish, French, Belgian, and they all knew about this dish and encouraged me to make it. Purée tomato with garlic., avocados, ham with a poached egg perched on top. All of this on toast with olive oil and garlic. I was so excited to serve that I forgot to take the finished dish, but this is close enough. It was a wonderful weekend at Lilac Lane despite Sunday’s rain.

Sunday afternoon roundup at Lilac Lane. The lavender smells beautiful and is so vibrant, and the gardens are alive with colour. The squash patch knows no bounds and the tomatoes and zucchini are coming. I love this time of year. Come for a stay at Lilac Lane and try some of the splendour.

Lilac Lane is almost ready to celebrate Canada 🇨🇦 Day with our annual Canada Day lilies. Celebrate! We celebrate many other special days. Visit, stay with us and we’ll celebrate your arrival and help make your visit a memorable one.

PEC Jazz Festival 2026 - Main Stage

Forged in a cauldron of raging, inspiring contemporary jazz, the Jeremy Ledbetter Trio pushes the boundaries of jazz and world music, providing an undiluted display of rampaging energy and captivating musicianship. Audiences must exercise caution. People who see this band are rarely the same again. If the Jeremy Ledbetter Trio were an inanimate object it would be a runaway train.

Canadian pianist Jeremy Ledbetter is a fiery, passionate performer whose music knows no boundaries. His compositions are wildly creative and deeply emotional. At Ledbetter’s hands, the piano roars, whispers, cries, and laughs, telling stories as only he can, evoking cinematic images in the listeners’ minds.

The Jeremy Ledbetter Trio’s second album, “Gravity”, has taken the jazz world by storm, racking up a JUNO Award for Jazz Album of the Year, the title “Best in Canadian Jazz” from Jazz FM91, and over a million streams worldwide. Jeremy is joined by Grammy-winning drummer Larnell Lewis (Snarky Puppy) and renowned electric bassist Rich Brown (Steve Coleman’s Five Elements), who offer the perfect counterpart to Ledbetter’s iconoclastic energy at the piano.
