What a surprise this morning...this tiny one was at our neighbour's, ran over to ours! Our kind neighbour called for help and 2 firefighters came to the very tiny one's rescue...getting her into our backyard where suddenly mom appeared and they both went into the woods!!

Children love this boat!!!

Before she became the “Land Lover” on the Pictou Waterfront, she was the Romeo Richard, a hardworking fishing boat that spent years hauling lobster and herring from the Northumberland Strait.

Now instead of hauling traps, she’s hauling aboard little adventurers, future captains, and kids with big imaginations.

Not a bad retirement gig. ⚓

Come jump aboard and explore The Land Lover next time you’re on the Pictou waterfront.

WE have guests looking for FAMILY/ ANCESTORS 1810 arrival from Birrbol ? Scotland.
Peter McKay who privately owned a grist mill in Scotland. His sons William and John McKay...John had a son Alexander in New Brunswick who had a son Roderick.
Peter's career was as a Ship's Carpenter .
Part of McKay family ended up with a farmstead on Sandy Cove Lane.
They will try MCullough House tomorrow but if you have anything to offer, they would love to hear back. Only here for a couple more days!!

Northumberland Ferry leaving this morning!
Starting May 1st. Ferry service from Caribou to Wood Island...very exciting. Looking forward to visitors coming to enjoy our beautiful piece of the world and to visit PEI by Ferry...a 75 minute trip.
We are 8 minutes away from the dock!!!

Hello...I am looking for any photograph that may have the image of Annie Carmichael wife of Robert Patterson Grant...the original owner of Sea Bank in Pictou.
Annie's father was James William Carmichael from New Glasgow
I understand there was a photo of her at the Carmichael Museum but sadly they cannot locate it.
Annie was 82 years old when she died on June 2nd 1893 and is buried with her husband here in Pictou.
Would be thrilled if you have any info about this lady...
