Sky Hi Lodge Beautiful BC, Remote Wilderness Fishing, where friends and family find each other. Turn north (right) onto hwy. 97 and travel to Loon Lake Turnoff.

Where We Are: From Kamloops take the Trans Canada #1 west for 125 k to the community of Cache Creek. Drive approx 39 kms, passing along Loon Lake and on to the junction of the 3400 Road. Alternate Route: From Clinton travel north on Hwy 97 approximately 23kms. Turn southeast onto Chasm road and follow for 1 km. Turn east onto Clinton Loon Lake road (3400 Rd) and travel 20km to the Bonaparte Ri

ver bridge. Cross the bridge and continue on the 3400 Rd. After approximately another 31km the 3400 rd veers southwest continue following for another 5km. Turn north onto the access road into the recreation site.

Rumors were circulating but it is official now.

The Fraser Canyon Hwy #1 is open again.

Many guests will be happy about that.

It is my preferred route to the lower mainland.

Pipeline rd to Deadmans to Cache Creek then the canyon.

We do have some cabins avail before we get super busy again in September until Thanksgiving. The passed 2 years we have remained open into November.

Great news

Loon lake down graded to alert. I would assume this would put Hihium to green from alert. Note there is a new wildfire restriction in the Caribou south east with no offroad vehicles til October.

I will start taking new bookings as soon as the above happens.

Im sure its a precautionary decision due to access to the area.

The fire is a long ways from Hihium and its moving north east away from us.

Guests here are catching fish and playing bocce. In paradise the goings on out there just seem to not bother us. Life is great as far as we are concerned.

We do feel for our neighbours as we just cant seem to get a break with 2 orders since 2017.

We all hope for rain and cooler temps.

Morning friends

Thankfully Loon lake is not under an order yet. The access to Hihium is via Savona by request by Sky Hi as the Loon lake road should be for them only in my mind.

We remain open with fishing still quite produc tive. Yesterday our now 2nd year stay guests left after 16 days (yes 16 and 16 is booked for next year) with huge grins. They were slaying fish at the east end until they had to row and kick their way back on the float tube and pontoon boat.

The elevation gives us the whole summer unlike most other interior lakes.

New dock #2 gets its launch today. There is always progress happening at Sky Hi every time you return.
