Sky Hi Lodge Beautiful BC, Remote Wilderness Fishing, where friends and family find each other. Turn north (right) onto hwy. 97 and travel to Loon Lake Turnoff.

Where We Are: From Kamloops take the Trans Canada #1 west for 125 k to the community of Cache Creek. Drive approx 39 kms, passing along Loon Lake and on to the junction of the 3400 Road. Alternate Route: From Clinton travel north on Hwy 97 approximately 23kms. Turn southeast onto Chasm road and follow for 1 km. Turn east onto Clinton Loon Lake road (3400 Rd) and travel 20km to the Bonaparte River bridge. Cross the bridge and continue on the 3400 Rd. After approximately another 31km the 3400 rd veers southwest continue following for another 5km. Turn north onto the access road into the recreation site.

Hello friends

My thought of the day is WTF.
This is what I find in my motors when winterizing them.

2027 costs per boat

60 to $80

Is now $80 to $110 per day

I am done with the abuse of my equipment.

I can't afford the repairs.

The worlds costs are sky rocketing and now that cost has to be assumed by my customers as a whole.

Be kind to my equipment please.

I always feel for the guests when the weather is adverse, but let it rain. There is no bad day to fish. There is only bad gear with people not prepared for the 4 seasons of conditions up at 4500'.

Access to the lake via Deadmans is a drive it like you stole it in a fully capable 4x4. When you pass the 23.5km marker, put it in 4 hi and get ready to keep tire speed up.

Good news
Some big fish are still presenting themselves to anglers.

FYI
Due to the extreme low Hihium lake water levels, the lodge takes no responsibility or assumes any liability for you launching.

If you need assistance there is now a $20 fee for the lodge to launch and then another $10 fee to remove it if we use our equipment, personnel, etc.

You being prepared with waders, 4x4, etc will help you with launching. Even better is you have an empty boat to lift off the trailer and manually launch your vessel.

The lodge has 7 boats in the water and you might just want to rent ours late in the season until the lake outlet issue is resolved. Our boats take preference to being secured to our new 2026 docks. If you wish to use them then there is a $15 per day fee. Reserving space is a must as we have not built the other 2 docks yet. These docks will be at #6 cabin and the Biltmore. You do not have dock space from The Sheraton to #4 cabin. You will need to walk to your boat!!!

We feel for our customers that have spent large to custom build their own prize machine but the situation is now extreme and we have no other solutions for you.

Hello friends

Rumors were circulating but it is official now.

The Fraser Canyon Hwy #1 is open again.

Many guests will be happy about that.

It is my preferred route to the lower mainland.

Pipeline rd to Deadmans to Cache Creek then the canyon.

We do have some cabins avail before we get super busy again in September until Thanksgiving. The passed 2 years we have remained open into November.

Great news

Loon lake down graded to alert. I would assume this would put Hihium to green from alert. Note there is a new wildfire restriction in the Caribou south east with no offroad vehicles til October.

I will start taking new bookings as soon as the above happens.

Im sure its a precautionary decision due to access to the area.

The fire is a long ways from Hihium and its moving north east away from us.

Guests here are catching fish and playing bocce. In paradise the goings on out there just seem to not bother us. Life is great as far as we are concerned.

We do feel for our neighbours as we just cant seem to get a break with 2 orders since 2017.

We all hope for rain and cooler temps.
