Where We Are: From Kamloops take the Trans Canada #1 west for 125 k to the community of Cache Creek. Drive approx 39 kms, passing along Loon Lake and on to the junction of the 3400 Road. Alternate Route: From Clinton travel north on Hwy 97 approximately 23kms. Turn southeast onto Chasm road and follow for 1 km. Turn east onto Clinton Loon Lake road (3400 Rd) and travel 20km to the Bonaparte Ri

ver bridge. Cross the bridge and continue on the 3400 Rd. After approximately another 31km the 3400 rd veers southwest continue following for another 5km. Turn north onto the access road into the recreation site.

Hello friends

It has been a trying start to the season. Saturday was wave after wave of blizzard conditions. Sunday was a wonderful day. Only at Hihium can you get 4 seasons of weather for your trip.

We have 3 log cabins availble from today until Friday. Sahara available 18 to 20th leave 21st.

The hatch is on and fishing is producing an average 18" up and into the mid 20".

Overcast with calm wind conditions is punishing the current guests that leave today.

Hello friends,

The lodge is happy that the steel for the new docks has been purchased, picked up and is waiting to go up the hill when the roads allow a heavy load without kicking the snot out of the flat deck. We are in the process of ordering the floatation, hardware, and steel mesh. We just need a commitment from the work crew to have about 4 guys to rip thru the fabrication of the docks.

Starting today notices are being sent out for the deposits to come in by April 1st to secure your 2026 stay at the lodge.

Update: We will pick up the steel next Thursday for our new floating docks that will extend our current permanent docks by 5' x 20'. This should be a fix for the current low lake level that we have been experiencing for a number of years. Our good friends at Evergreen Fishing Resort down at Loon lake have assisted us in copying a design of theirs. We do appreciate them for helping us deal with this situation. They have an open invitation from us for them to come up and use one of our boats to fish Hihium and view our new docks.

Moorage on the new docks from guests who bring their own boat will be charged $15 for the 1st day and $10 after that to have a designated spot. You can always use space on the old docks but it will not be designated just for you or just use the shoreline.
