For those seeking a little more action, come play a round of air hockey, shuffleboard, pool, darts or ping pong. Venture back outside to

soak up some sun on the floating dock and hit the water when it’s time to cool off. Enjoy exploring the quiet lake on one of our complimentary canoes, kayaks, windsurfers, or paddleboat. There is also great fishing right off the dock or if you’d like to explore a little further, rent the pontoon boat or one of the 14 ft. Quiet evenings can be enjoyed roasting marshmallows at the beach campfire or star gazing under the incredible dark skies. The area surrounding Pleasantview offers countless ways to enjoy nature’s beauty and wildlife. There are excellent trails for hiking, ATV-ing and snowmobiling right across the road.

On August 8, 2025, a Total Fire Ban was implemented due to the dry conditions, creating extreme fire conditions in the Townships of Addington Highlands and North Frontenac.

The precipitation received over the last week, combined with the widespread precipitation throughout the area has made the conditions less hazardous for fires.

Chief Cuddy and Chief Robinson have reviewed the conditions and forecasted fire hazards and have decided the Fire Ban will be lifted as of 12:00 p.m. today – Friday August 29, 2025.

Campfires used for cooking or warmth that comply with Open-Air Burn By-Law #53-19 are now permitted. No other outdoor fires are permitted in the Townships of North Frontenac and Addington Highlands between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., from April 1 to October 31.

A copy of the open-air burning by-law can be found on the Addington Highlands and North Frontenac official websites.
