Black bears are incredible swimmers! Here on Vancouver Island, it’s not uncommon to spot them island-hopping while foraging. Who knew bears loved the water as much as kayakers? 🐻

Looking for adventure off the water? The Barkley Bluff Trail offers stunning views of Barkley Sound and the Broken Group Islands. This 4.3 km out-and-back hike starts at the lodge, winding through forested paths before a steep climb to a rewarding view.
