We call them our “Forest Puppies.” 🦌

Just one of the beautiful wildlife visitors you might see while staying at Chims Cabins. We’re lucky to have deer regularly wander through the property and surrounding forest. 🌲❤️

And there’s a little story behind our name too!

čims means “bear” in the local Indigenous Nuu-chah-nulth language. We added the “h” to create Chims, making it easier for visitors to pronounce.

Be Happy, that’s what our dog Chims says….We are happy about this recent Google review from Candace:

We have family in Port Alberni and Chims Cabins is the only place we will stay. They are clean, updated spaces that give you more privacy than a hotel room because you get your own cabin.

The cabins we’ve stayed in have all had their own kitchens which we appreciate as we like being able to make our own breakfasts and lunches, and the kitchens are well stocked with dishes and utensils.

Naomi is also an amazing host. She is very responsive to any requests or questions you might have, and is always so welcoming.

Chims is about a 5 minute drive outside of Port Alberni but we enjoy being in a quieter place so it works for us. Highly recommend staying here!

What Ed & Naomi have built in 8 years is amazing. Guests love the 6 cabins with full size kitchens and amenities such as a dedicated guest laundry room 🧺and Netflix (with no commercials)
