Congratulations to everyone who was able to sn**ch a stay during key summer months. July and August are almost fully booked now (except for civic day long weekend in August and one M-F in July).

The magic of Sherkston
1. Fireflies. There are so many of them this season. Like a Christmas lights show. You do need to observe them at specific spots, and it just so happens that our balcony porch is the best such spot

2. Hummingbirds. That's right. There are so many of them this year. Just saw 3 on our stroll today. they do like large orange/red flowers best.

3. The beaches. Miles of prestine sand on private beaches. The attached video is about a 25% stretch of the far beach (best sunsets).

The season fun is ON.

pools are open and heated and fun

Beach is cleaned and so amazing (people were swimming on Victoria day weekend).

Fireworks are awesome (and no crowds).

People are friendly.

The nature is calming.

Birds singing will re-energize you.

Sunsets will WOW you.

We are happy to share exciting news for 2024 season: improved sleeping options

1. The main bedroom now has a huge, comfy, brand new KING size bed. (Great for those who bedshare with kids).

2. The convertible (second) bedroom now ALSO has a twin size chair-bed combo, in addition to the queen size sofabed.
Perfect for those travelling with a solo sleeper- saves time to make the bed. AND offers another sleeping option.

3. Brand new BBQ .

Let the fun begin!

Ps. Private Internet will also be available this season. So book your stay while dates are available (May and very limited June dates are available. )

Another activity The Happy Place Cottage at Sherkston Shores has to offer is fishing.

You can fish at the Quarry. And because it's a self enclosed lake on private property - no fishing license required.

Rock bass, sunfish. Small and big. Most importantly- fun for the whole family.

Live bait available at Sherkston mart right on the resort property.

We also saw a large snapping turtle strut its stuff.

Nature at The Happy Place Cottage at Sherkston Shores has so much to offer

Wild raspberry and mulberry seasons are on now. Linden trees are flowering (fresh lindentea anyone?). Soon wild pears and apples will be ready. And October offers plenty of black walnuts (if you have the patience to collect, clean and dry them).

And don't forget wild garlic. It is so delicious.
