🌊 We feel pretty lucky to have places like Botanical Beach right in our backyard.

The tide pools here are full of fascinating marine life, and one of the best parts of visiting is slowing down and taking a closer look at what's living beneath the surface.

A few simple ways to help keep these ecosystems healthy:

👣 Walk on bare rock whenever possible
🦀 Leave marine life where you find it
🤲 Keep hands out of the tide pools and enjoy marine life from a distance
📸 Take photos instead of souvenirs
🌊 Enjoy the pools without disturbing what lives there

The low tide is a great chance to see parts of the shoreline that are usually hidden underwater. With a little care, we can all help keep this special place incredible.

❗️A Reminder:
Botanical Beach in Juan de Fuca Park will be closed 7:30 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026, and ends at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, 2026 to provide time, space and privacy for members of the Pacheedaht First Nation to harvest marine resources and reconnect with an important part of their territory.

During this time, people can visit other day-use areas in Juan de Fuca Park, such as Mystic Beach, Sombrio Beach and China Beach.
