It’s hard to believe when you look outside, but camping season starts in just over two months!

For the month of March, we are once again offering a limited-time opportunity to pay your 2026 camping fees by credit card with a discounted transaction fee. During this promotion, we are offering 50% off the standard 3% transaction fee—meaning you will be charged only 1.5%.

To take advantage of this offer, simply email [email protected] to request the early payment option.

We have received some inquiries from campers who wish to pay early using a payment method other than a credit card. If this applies to you, we would be happy to accommodate you. Simply email the address above stating your preferred payment method, and we will send your invoice along with payment instructions.

As a reminder, CRA requires us to charge HST on all camping fees for the 2026 camping season and beyond. As communicated last fall, there will be no increase in the 2026 pre-tax camping fees for CURRENT campers on their CURRENT sites.

Changes to Marine Park Operations

Effective with the 2026 camping season, Marine Park will transition from a year-round operation to a nine-month operating model. This change means the park will be closed annually from January 1st to March 31st, commencing on January 1, 2027.

This decision was made after experiencing several years of operational, legal, and regulatory challenges with the 12-month operating model.

As a result of this change, "All-Season Campsites" will now be referred to as "Extended Season Campsites”, with site occupants being licensed to occupy their sites from April 1st to December 31st. Please note that the final day for snow clearing for the 2026 camping season will be December 31, 2026. Campsite prices will be unaffected by this change. As previously committed, current campers will have no base price increase on their current site for the 2026 and 2027 camping seasons.

Starting with the 2027 camping season, renewal deposits for Extended Season sites will be due on the prior October 15th. Campers who have paid their deposit by October 15th can leave their trailers and other personal possessions on their campsites during the closure period, at no additional cost. No basic electrical charge will be assessed during the closure period.

We will release more information on these changes in the coming weeks. In the meantime please direct any questions to Angie Barrett at [email protected].

Levi John’s Store Expansion for the 2026 Season

We are excited to announce that we will be undertaking an expansion of Levi John’s Country Convenience this winter. In preparation for the 2026 camping season we will be removing a wall section and incorporating exterior garage space into the store footprint. This expansion will result in more than doubling the walk-in beer cooler / ready-to-drink space.

We will also be removing all of the heavy duty racking in the beer cooler and replacing it with new roller shelves that will allow us to display more product per cooler door and make the product much easier to access.

Additionally, we will be replacing the current refrigeration equipment, which is in the ceiling above the checkout, with much newer, higher-efficiency equipment. This new equipment will be mounted outside, behind the store, thereby greatly reducing the noise and excess heat in the store.

In order to complete these improvements Levi John’s will be closed for approximately 8 weeks, starting on January 1, 2026. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause, but the closure is necessary in order to carry out these renovations safely and efficiently. Thank you for your understanding.

Important Update: Changes to Electrical Billing in 2026 for Summer Season Campers

Today we are announcing upcoming changes to electrical billing that will affect 2026 Summer Season Campers only.

Currently, there are two different processes for campsite electrical billing—one for Summer Season Campsites and another for All-Season Campsites. Beginning with the 2026 camping season, we will be streamlining this system by moving to a single, consistent method of electrical billing for all long-term (non-nightly) campers. There are no change to the 2025 electrical billing process.

What’s Changing in 2026

This update will only affect Summer Season Campers. All other campers are unaffected and may disregard this notice.

At present, Summer Season Campers begin the season with a $160 electrical credit. Because actual usage never matches this amount exactly, the system requires additional invoices, refunds, or credits at the end of each season. This process often causes unnecessary complexity, confusion, and frustration.

Starting in 2026, electrical billing for Summer Season Campsites will be separated from campsite fees. The $160 electrical credit will be eliminated, and campsite fees will be reduced by the same amount. In other words, the adjustment is cost-neutral—you’ll pay $160 less upfront, and electricity will be billed only for what you actually use, throughout the season.

Why This Is a Positive Change

- Simpler billing: No more end-of-season invoices, refunds, or credits.
- Fair and transparent: Pay only for the electricity you consume, after you consume it.
- Better cash flow: You keep the $160 in your pocket until it’s actually needed.
- Less administrative hassle: Reduced paperwork and fewer opportunities for errors or confusion.

We believe this change will make the process easier and clearer for everyone while keeping things fair and cost-neutral for our Summer Season Campers.
