So exciting porpoise right at our seawall. Sea lions jumping too. What a week. We had orca and humpback as well. Never seen these guys on the inside. 😁🥰

Our thoughts and prayers are with Telegraph Cove Resort & Campground.
A few of our staff have not been there yet and you are still on their bucket list of firsts and all of us here are looking forward to visiting before and after the re-build.

Telegraph Cove Fire

On December 31, 2024 a fire started at the north end of the boardwalk and quickly spread and consumed the pub, restaurant, Tide Rip Tours office, Prince of Whales office and the Whale Interpretive Center.

In no time fire fighting teams from Port McNeill, Hyde Creek, Port Hardy, Sointula and Alert Bay were on the scene.

This response was amazing and the fire was eventually contained.

Marilyn and I have had Telegraph Cove for 45 years and realize what this little town means to the North Island citizens. People worldwide have sent their thoughts, good wishes, and good memories.

Once the authorities get their investigation finished we will be proceeding with the rebuild and plan to be operational this season.

Our love and thanks to all and everyone that was involved.
