Update: The campfire ban has been lifted!

Please make sure to check for updates as these things can change quickly. Ensure proper campfire safety! Always have a a bucket of water nearby, take care of our beautiful forests.

Notice to all! There is a campfire ban in effect until October 1st.

Category 1: Campfires / Open Fires
All Category 1 campfires and open fires are prohibited as of the effective date and time.

Also included in this ban:

Outside burning of any type of candles (regardless of the size, eg votive or otherwise)
Sky lanterns
Fireworks and firecrackers
Wood-fired pizza ovens and smokers
Mosquito coils
Tiki torches and similar open-flame devices
In addition, the Coastal Fire Centre will continue to enforce the current Category 2 and Category 3 open fire prohibitions.

Fire Safety Reminders:

Dispose of ci******es safely in sand or water — never on the ground, in planters, garbage, or fire pits
If you spot a fire, immediately call the BC Wildfire Service at 1-800-663-5555 or dial *5555 from your cell phone
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping keep our campground and community safe during this high-risk period.
