Well, it just goes to show how dry it is out there. It's super early in the year but a total fire ban is coming this Thursday, May 7th starting at noon.
This means no fires of any kind, including campfires. Please respect this ban, it is there for a reason.

Happy New Year Campers!
We know everyone is eager to book for this upcoming camping season! Our campground opens May long weekend and reservations open on JANUARY 13th 2026 at 9AM. You can reserve either by phone at 2507579337 or online at www.qualicumfirstnation.com
The campground is still not open so please do not call the store number (2507579322) as no one will answer it.
We look forward to welcoming you all back for the 2026 camping season!

The Qualicum First Nation Waterfront Campground, Cabins and RV Park is a very popular vacation getaway, centrally located a short 14 minute drive from Qualicum Beach on beautiful Vancouver Island, offering a great camping experience with beach access for all our campers.

Reminder that both our campgrounds are closed to the public for the season. Unless you are renting a cabin or have permission from the Nation to be down there, please respect that it is closed.

Good morning campers. Today is our official closing day. We would like to thank all our amazing customers for making this another successful camping season! We look forward to seeing you all next year. Have a safe and warm fall and winter season.

Good morning everyone,
Unfortunately due to vandalism of our washrooms we will have to close them as of 4pm today for the rest of the season. Porta potties are still available throughout the campground. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Our closing date for the season is September 30th.

We are offering free dry camping to anyone in who has been evacuated from the Wesley Ridge fire. You just need to show proof of address at our office and our staff will assist you. Anyone who has already arrived at our campground and has paid, please go to the store and a staff member will issue you a refund.

WATER SHUTDOWN
There will be a water shutdown from 8am to 5pm on Monday July 28th. Due to this, the bathrooms and sani dump will be closed. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Please be advised that as of Thursday at noon there will be no more campfires.

No more camp fires as of Thursday noon, see below for the info bulletin from BC Wildfire.

Category 1: Campfire open fire effective 12:00 noon Thursday July 17th, 2025. In addition to this prohibition, the Coastal Fire Centre will maintain the current Category 2 and Category 3 open fire prohibitions.

Below is the list of Section 12 restricted activities and equipment will expand to include:

• Sky Lanterns.
• Wood fired hot tubs, wood fired pizza ovens and other wood fired devices unless vented through a structure that has a flue and is incorporated in a building.
• Binary exploding targets.
• Fireworks, as defined in the Fireworks Act of BC.
• Burn barrels or burn cages of any size or description.
• Air curtain burners.
• Carbonizers.
• Controlled air incinerators.
• Parks, conservancies, and recreation areas (Park Act)
• Recreation sites, recreation trails, interpretive forest sites and trail-based recreation areas (Forest and Range Practices Act)
• Ecological reserves (Ecological Reserve Act)
• Wildlife management areas (Wildlife Act)
• Private managed forest land (Private Managed Forest Land Act)
• Official Recreation and RV sites
• Beaches
