The Red Coat is a beautifully restored century home, circa 1901, nestled among the hills of the Niagara Escarpment, just a short drive down the beautiful Niagara River Parkway in charming historic Queenston. A guest lounge is available on the main floor and gourmet breakfasts are served in our lovely Dining room including Niagara's best seasonal fruits and fresh baked goods. Choose to relax, dine

or meet guests on one of the porches overlooking the breathtaking Niagara River. The Red Coat, located within the township of Niagara on the Lake, is centrally located between Shaw Theatres, shops, golf courses, Casino Niagara and Niagara Falls. Follow the Niagara Wine Trail to over thirty estate wineries offering tours and wine tasting. If you enjoy the outdoors, hike, jog or bike along one of the many trails including the Bruce trail which begins at the base of our driveway! A free boat launch is also just a block away from our home.

Our daughter gave her dad tickets to see Brigadoon at the Shaw festival theatre for his birthday. We went on opening night. It was fantastic! Great job to all the actors and musicians. The songs were beautiful sung by all. Alexis Gordon who plays Fiona, her voice was amazing. She can certainly hit those high notes with ease. The choreographing for the dance numbers were tremendous. I particularly loved the dance number when Charlie is blindfolded and dances with Jenny. It was so beautifully done. Grenny Sermonia’s dance number…all I can say was WOW. I felt the emotions in her movements. Of course all the dance numbers were done so well! The set was incredible!

If you haven’t seen Brigadoon, make a point of seeing it this season. Take someone to this performance, you will be happy that you did.

Bravo once again to the cast and musicians and all the people behind the curtain to put on this fantastic show!
