We have been receiving feedback about boards that need replacement, boats with leaks, and other maintenance odds and ends. Please be patient — we are well aware of these items and they have all been prioritized.
For some background: Chimo was purchased in 2018. The main camp and outposts burned in 2019, and rebuilding began in August of that year. COVID then hit from 2020–2022. We reopened in 2022, only to have Schultz and nearly all outposts closed again for most of 2025 due to forest fires.
In total, we have had just three years of revenue and operating time to address a main camp that burned and the loss of outposts across eight years of ownership. Total losses took priority, as did emergencies and fire protection. We are now slowly working through the non-emergency items such as docks, appliances, and boats.
