Not everyone coming to Puntzi Lake wants to bring their own RV. 💙

Our Cameo fifth wheel is another way to stay at Woodlands Fishin Resort — arrive, settle in and start enjoying the lake.

Some of our favourite visitors don’t need a reservation. 😂

The pelicans are a familiar sight around Puntzi Lake, and watching the wildlife is one of those simple things that makes time at Woodlands a little different.

You might come to the Chilcotin for the fishing, camping or a few quiet days by the lake — but sometimes it’s the unexpected visitors that you remember. 💙

A little community fun happening along Highway 20! 🍂🎃

The Alexis Creek Community Club is hosting its potluck dinner tonight, with pumpkin carving, games and a chance to support local community members.

Things are pretty quiet around Woodlands these days. 🍂

The cabins are closed, the boats are put away and another summer at Puntzi Lake is behind us.

There’s still plenty happening behind the scenes, though. Fall means closing things down, tackling projects and improvements — and before long, we’ll be getting ready to welcome everyone back again in 2027.

For now, we’re enjoying the quiet. 💙

Hello, October. 🍂

Things are a whole lot quieter around Woodlands these days. The cabins are closed up, the summer rush is behind us, and Puntzi Lake has settled into fall.

But it’s still pretty hard to beat this view. 💙

We’ll be sharing a little of fall at the lake, some behind-the-scenes projects, and of course looking ahead to another season in 2027.

And just like that, our 2026 season has come to an end. 💙

Woodlands Fishin Resort is now officially closed for the season.

What a year it has been! Thank you to everyone who stayed with us, camped with us, stopped by the Bakery, came out for our events, went fishing, shared a meal, or simply stopped in to say hello.

There were definitely a few adventures along the way 😂, but there were also so many wonderful people and memories.

Now it’s time to finish putting Woodlands to bed for the winter and start looking ahead to 2027.

🍂 Fall has arrived at Puntzi Lake.

A little colour in the trees, low clouds hanging over the hills, and a quiet parade across the lake this morning.

Summer may be behind us, but Puntzi Lake certainly doesn’t stop being beautiful when the seasons change. 💙

🌲 The Bakery may be closed for the season, but Woodlands Fishin Resort is still open!

Puntzi Lake Bakery & Restaurant has wrapped up its 2026 season, but there’s still a little time left to enjoy Puntzi Lake. 💙

Woodlands Fishin Resort remains open through September 25 for cabin stays and camping.

🥐 LAST DAY of the 2026 Puntzi Lake Bakery season!

And apparently we’re going out with The Great Yeast Crisis of 2026. 😂

I made the last batch of cinnamon buns this morning. Made the dough. Rolled the buns. Put them in to rise.

Then my brain started…

Did I put the yeast in?
Pretty sure I did.
Wait. Did I?
I don’t think I did.
Did I even take the yeast out of the fridge?!

Meanwhile, I’m calculating how much flour I have left, whether I could possibly make another half batch and still have enough flour to make cookies…

And the cinnamon buns?

They were sitting there quietly doing exactly what they were supposed to do.

“Lady, would you please leave us alone? We’re rising.” 😂

Apparently the buns were fine. It was the baker who needed the proofer.

So yes — the last cinnamon buns of the season survived, and they may go down in Woodlands history. 😂

Today is also our LAST DAY of the Bakery season, so come out for one more lunch, dinner, treat, Lake Soda or frozen coffee latte — and grab some baking to take home while it lasts.
