Got Bivvers. I was walking down by the lake today and noticed that a local beaver had engaged in a little unauthorized shoreline feng shui. This beaver will be forgiven because; 1.) this beaver, like all beavers, has a commendable work ethic 2.) the beaver is the symbol of a proud and noble nation and 3.) beavers happen to be the only rodent I like.

We are sad to share the passing of Abe Toews. For almost 40 years, Abe and Tena spent time at Big Whiteshell Lake, and their arrival was always something we looked forward to. Abe knew this lake well, and more often than not, he’d come in with a stringer full of fish and a good story to go with it. He was funny, kind, and genuine, the sort of person you were always glad to run into. My condolences and warm hugs go out to the Toews family. Abe and Tena leave behind a wonderful legacy at the lake that will not be forgotten.
