We sent out 4 Interview questions for the family, this is their responses…
What does your perfect day of camping look like?
~Our perfect day starts with a massive breakfast cooked on the Blackstone—eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, pancakes, and a fresh French press of coffee. The best part of Cripple Creek is how safe and community-oriented it feels, so right after breakfast, our girls take off on their bikes for hours, playing freely with their friends. We love spending the rest of the afternoon soaking up the sun at the beautiful campground beach with our favorite people. We always finish the night together with a huge bonfire, rotating between the four sites of our amazing camping crew.
What is your #1 camping hack for organization?
~Space is everything when you're making memories! We actually cut out the hollow panel above our microwave and installed a custom shelf. It is the perfect hidden storage spot for all of our heavy frying pans and baking sheets, keeping our counters completely clutter-free.
What is your best advice for first-time campers?
~Don't stay cooped up at your campsite! Cripple Creek has the most welcoming community you will ever find. Take a walk around the loops, don't be shy to introduce yourself, and definitely head down to the beach for the afternoon. You will meet some great people here.
What is your favorite memory at the campground?
~Without a doubt, Casino Night at Cripple Creek two years ago! It was an absolute blast.
