We had such a wonderful week at this cottage! My husband and I, our two adult children, their two friends, and our dog had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy our time together without ever feeling like we were on top of each other.
The home was clean, comfortable, spacious, and well kept. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking and BBQing, and the large dining table was perfect for family meals, games, and lots of laughs.
The backyard was fantastic, with so much space for everyone, and being dog-friendly was a huge bonus. The beach was literally a 5 minute walk away too and was beautiful.
The owner Ken was also incredibly friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with.
We couldn't have asked for a better place for our week away. We absolutely loved our stay and would happily come back again.

I have some great renters.
Last year a shadow box filled with beach glass fell off the wall and broke when the wind slammed a door shut.
These things happen and I wasn't concerned about it.
I probably should have picked a better spot to hang it, and the shadow box was a garage sale item.
When the renter told me it broke, I suggested he find a container for the beach glass and next year when he comes back, he an bring a new shadow box.
I was half joking.
The point I was trying to make was that I expected him to come back again.
This week he's back and he hung a new shadow box for me. On a different wall where its less likely to fall off.
I have always felt that respect is a 2 way street.
I do what I can to ensure the renters have everything they need to enjoy their vacation, and in turn I expect them to treat my property with respect.
If everything goes as planned, both parties are happy, and the family will come back year after year.

Summer is filling up quickly this year. I have 1 summer week left. This could be the first year I'm fully booked before summer.
If you miss out on a peak summer vacation, the weather is still beautiful in June and September, the beach is less busy too.

Blue Sky Cottage in Point Clark is on Lake Huron. With 4 bedrooms 1800 square feet of indoor space, a huge yard with a fire pit and lots of games. You can bring the whole family!
The beach is 1 block away and the walk takes less than 5 minutes.
The road that my cottage is on is very quiet, narrow and windey so cars go slow and many people enjoy walking or biking past my place. I even have a few bikes for you to enjoy.
The price is $2500 per week in the summer.
Longer stays between now and Summer are also available at a rate to be negotiated.

Anyone getting together with family and friends this Thanksgiving weekend and thinking about the summer that past and planning on the summer ahead, consider spending a week at Blue Sky Cottage. I still have most of the summer available.

I have August 13th - 22nd available to rent. If anyone would like to help me fill that space I am willing to give %20 of the rental fee to anyone who's name is mentioned by the renter.
Call it a finders fee.
The normal rate is $2500 per week. I am willing to negotiate with a potential renter if need be.
Remember friends, the more I can get for that time slot, the more you get if you are able to refer a renter.

Holiday traffic can be terrible! I had to do the speed limit the whole way!
If you are stuck in traffic going north or east of Toronto, consider going west. The traffic is much lighter and the views are amazing 😀
