Backyard fire season is coming to the end as the fire pit is now filled with ripe salmon berries and swainsons thrush birdsong. The land is lush and alive with buzzing and chirping. Goodbye to 🔥 and a warm welcome home to our neighbours who have travelled the world since we last heard them sing

Native plants are the cornerstone of life and the heart of our garden.

Biodiversity depends on ancient relationships and it is a joy to learn about.

Salmonberry have a special relationship with swainson’s thrush. Listen to their song when the berries come!

We have an amazing new neighbour in the creek. .ca is a short walk away with wood fired sauna and hot tub, cold plunge, outdoor shower and fire pit. Comes with tea, sweets and everything you need to completely chill. It’s also across from flume beach so you can add an ocean dip to the magic. Highly recommend.
