🐻 Bear Advisory for Walkers & Trail Users 🐻
A black bear has just been reported in the immediate area (between Crimson Lake maintenance shop and Wilderness Village).
Members, guests, and visitors are reminded to exercise caution while walking throughout the Resort and surrounding trails. While black bears are a natural part of our environment and sightings are uncommon, it is important to remain alert and take appropriate precautions.
✅ Travel in groups whenever possible
✅ Keep children close and supervised at all times
✅ Keep dogs leashed and under control
✅ Make noise while walking to avoid surprising wildlife
✅ Carry bear spray if venturing onto trails or into wooded areas
✅ Never approach, feed, or attempt to photograph wildlife at close range
If you encounter a bear:
• Remain calm and do not run
• Slowly back away while keeping the bear in sight
• Make yourself appear large and speak in a firm voice
• Report the sighting to Resort Management as soon as possible
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates if necessary. Thank you for helping keep our community safe while enjoying the outdoors.
