Listing your property on Airbnb is easy. Building a vacation-rental business is a whole different thing. 👀

Airbnb is an important booking channel, but it shouldn’t be the entire strategy.

I believe in creating more ways for guests to find your property — Airbnb, Vrbo, direct bookings, repeat guests, referrals, local partnerships, Century 21 Kootenay Homes and my own marketing.

The goal isn’t just to get the next booking. It’s to build a property guests remember, recommend and return to.

Airbnb can make the introduction. My job is to build the relationship after that.

A few recent highlights from the other side of Stay with Darby.

Apparently running a business also involves forgetting attachments, defending ketchup chips and accidentally calling your neighbour by his dog’s name.

Some days I absolutely crush it.

Some days… Steve. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Either way, we carry on.
