A year ago we sold the business of Churchill River Canoe Outfitters. The time was right! We’ve been enjoying not having that responsibility.
Our cabins are being rented through CRCO, but we still own and maintain them. This past summer we enjoyed reconnecting with those many people who stay with us.
As you may recall, we now have one cabin, The Silver Birch, that is a year-round facility. We invite you to come stay with us this winter. There is still availability over Christmas and New Years.

I started guiding canoe trips in 1973. Theresa is a Psychologist and has worked in communities throughout the northern parts of Saskatchewan and Alberta. We met on a canoe trip I was guiding in 1978.
Theresa went on to get her Masters Degree in Ottawa. While we were there, we got to know the Ottawa paddling community. There was a lot of encouragement from this community for us to purchase CRCO.
So, in 1986 Theresa and I purchased Churchill River Canoe Outfitters. At that time CRCO consisted of 3 cabins. Over time we have slowly added cabins and now we own 8. The business grew. So many of our customers became friends that we continue to enjoy connecting with.
Our children, Dan and Sarah came along. Dan is now the owner of Go Trekker Maps (www.gotrekkers.com). Sarah is a Massage Therapist living in Thompson, Manitoba. She and her husband Will are the proud parents of our granddaughter Adrianna.
