This week feels BIG around here.

My kiddos are heading back to school, and I’m feeling all the things — excitement, nerves, and a little “how are they this big already?!” 🥹

But while big kids head off to school, many littles are still home. Which means settling into a new routine … and finding ways to keep little hands busy!

This is one of the reasons I created My Toy Share. Having a rotation of new-to-them toys makes those at-home days feel a little more exciting without filling the house with more stuff.

Apparently, running a toy library is kinda chic.

Kinda chic to run a library, but make it toys.
Kinda chic to be in the business of borrowing.
Kinda chic to build a business around play, borrowing & less stuff.
Kinda chic to own a toy library.

But honestly? We think it’s more than kinda chic.

It’s a pretty great way to give kids more opportunities to play, without constantly buying, storing and eventually decluttering more stuff.

One of the most important parts of The Toy Share is making sure every toy that arrives at your door is clean, cared for, and ready for play.

Every returned toy is carefully inspected, cleaned, and sanitized before it heads off to its next little explorer. We take great care with each item because we know these toys are becoming part of your child's everyday play and learning.

Typically this is the first question parents ask me:

How long can we keep the toys?

The answer is: you choose!

When you place your order, you'll select the borrowing period that works best for your family.

Most of our members choose to borrow toys for about 4 weeks, but every family is different. If your little one loves exploring the same toys a bit longer, that's okay. If they're ready for something new sooner, you can choose a shorter borrowing period too.

The best part? We deliver your curated toy collection right to your door, so all you have to do is enjoy the play. When your borrowing period is over, we'll exchange them for a fresh set of exciting toys.

When I first started My Toy Share, I was simply trying to solve a problem I was experiencing as a mom.

Our home was overflowing with toys. My girls would lose interest so quickly, and I found myself constantly buying new toys to keep up with their changing interests. I wished there was a better way.

So I created the toy library I needed.

But something unexpected happened.

As I met more families, listened to parents, and connected with occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physiotherapists, educators, and other incredible professionals, I realized My Toy Share could be so much more than a place to borrow toys.

I want to help create a community where every child has access to toys that support their unique interests, strengths, and developmental needs.

I want families to be able to try specialized toys before investing in them.

I want therapists and educators to have access to quality resources that help them support the children they work with every day.

I want parents to feel seen, supported, and empowered through play.

At its heart, My Toy Share isn't just about reducing clutter or saving money—it's about making meaningful play more accessible for every child.

This is only the beginning, and I'm so grateful to everyone who's been part of the journey so far. 💛
