A journey through the classics, from the iconic grapes that define French wine to the stories behind them.

Sticking With Italy - (Because who would want to leave)
Corvina - The Little Grape That Could! - (with Mer et Soleil Wines) What can’t this grape do? From Valpolicella to Amarone - One grape - so many different wines
🇦🇺🇳🇿 Down Under
Discover the wines of Australia and New Zealand, from bold Australian favourites to the cool-climate character of New Zealand. Lamb will definitely be on the menu and we will probably throw another shrimp on the Barbie!

If you haven’t yet experienced the magic coming out of Chef Jeff Lutes’ kitchen at The Chandler Room Wine Bar & Kitchen, inside the Treadwell Inn in beautiful St. Andrews by-the-Sea, you are in for an unforgettable treat.

Chef Jeff has a true talent for transforming the freshest local ingredients into dishes that celebrate the flavours of our region. Each plate is a perfect balance of creativity and comfort while beautifully presented, full of coastal inspiration, and absolutely bursting with flavour.

We’re thrilled to have Chef Jeff Lutes joining us for The Taste of St. Andrews this year! His artistry in the kitchen has set the bar high, and we can’t wait to see what incredible creations he brings to the table for this event. Don't be surprised when you see a line out the door!

As summer winds down, a few of our amazing team members will be heading back to school over the next few weeks. Thankfully, things aren’t slowing down here—we’re still incredibly busy through mid-December!

We’re looking to add a few part-time team members in the following areas:
• Store/Front Desk
• Housekeeping/Cleaning
• Kitchen

This will be a long one….. (and sappy) Because how do you fit 10 years into a single post!

We have officially hit the midway mark in the season and It’s hard to believe that a decade has passed since we first unlocked the doors of the Treadwell Inn.

When we took over the Inn, our vision was to create a place that felt like home while still offering the little luxuries that make a stay memorable. Every room, every detail, every improvement has been made with that vision in mind.

A year later came an even bigger leap of faith: The Chandler Room. We started with an empty space and no commercial kitchen, just a belief that St. Andrews deserved another dining experience that celebrated great food, great wine, and warm hospitality. Watching it grow into what it has become has been more rewarding than we ever imagined.

None of this would have been possible without our team, who have poured their hearts into what we do, and without the locals who made us part of their community and the visitors who continue to return year after year. Some of you have stayed with us once, others dozens of times. Some have celebrated anniversaries, birthdays, engagements, and reunions here. Many have become friends. Your support has meant more than you’ll ever know.

There are still moments when we stop, look out over the harbour, watch the tide roll in, and think, we get to do this!?! We never take that view—or the privilege of welcoming you into this place—for granted.

Ten years has brought plenty of hard work, uncertainty, long days, and lessons learned. But it’s also brought unforgettable memories, countless conversations over good food and wine, and a deep appreciation for this beautiful corner of the world we get to call home.

Thank you for being part of our story. Whether you’ve joined us for a single glass of wine, a weekend getaway, or you’ve been cheering us on since day one, you’ve helped shape what Treadwell Inn and the Chandler Room have become.

This season has been flying by but I can’t help but to think of that time of the year when things start to quiet down. Bookings have been busier than ever for our “off season” maybe because of lovely stories like the one linked here. There’s something magical about this little seaside town. From ocean views and coastal walks to incredible food, local shops, and genuine Maritime hospitality, it’s a place that invites you to slow down and stay awhile.
