Overlooking historic St. Mary’s Harbour is a boutique coastal inn with an unobstructed view, awaiting your arrival!
The Claddagh Inn’s history reaches back nearly 250 years when in Ireland Nano Eagle founded the Presentation Sisters in 1776. By 1859 the St. Mary’s Convent was constructed and used to course the nuns who taught school throughout the Island.
Their influence can still be seen in the community and within the Inn where their pump-organ still works, their chapel furniture is still in use ( in the pub) and the four nuns’ resting place in the back garden leads to the odd bump or creak in the night.....The original building was replaced in 1968 and has undergone several upgrades since becoming a B&B.
