UPDATE: Category 2 & 3 Bans
UPDATE: MAY 8, 2026
The Adams Lake Fire Department will no longer be issuing permits for prescribed burns nor conducting any more cultural burns. Category 1 fires are still permitted. Category 1 fires include small back yard fires that are contained in a fire pit. These fires must remain smaller than 0.5m high by 0.5m wide. I would like to advise anyone who wishes to have a backyard fire to be extra cautious. Do not leave the fire unattended and always have a water source or any means of putting the fire out close by.
