Back-to-school season is a little brighter thanks to the Ladies Lambton Area Retired Golf Association!

Through their event, the group donated $480, along with backpacks and school supplies, to help support children in our community.

We are so grateful for their thoughtfulness and for helping ensure local students have the supplies they need to start the school year off right.

A HUGE THANK YOU to Brooke Reiger and Amisha Duggal for donating the proceeds from their charity garage sale to The Inn of the Good Shepherd! ❤️

The students raised an incredible $7,200 through this year's sale and have been fundraising together since 2022. Their continued dedication and generosity are truly inspiring!

LOONIES FOR LUNCHES STARTS TODAY! 🥪❤️

For 21 years, our friends at McDonald’s have been helping turn a little bit of change into a whole lot of good for local kids.

From August 31 to September 13, you can donate a loonie, or more, when you visit participating McDonald’s locations in Sarnia & Petrolia. Every donation supports The Inn in providing lunches for local children experiencing hunger.

Whether you’re grabbing your morning coffee, stopping for lunch or hitting the drive-thru, adding just $1 to your order can help make sure a local child has the food they need.

🎒📚 BACK TO SCHOOL KIT DAY IS HERE! ✏️🍎

We’re kicking off our Back to School Kit distribution TODAY at Temple Baptist Church!

⏰ 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Families who are registered can pick up brand new backpacks packed with grade-specific school supplies to help students head into the new school year ready to learn. 💙

⚠️ Important: You must be pre-registered for a Blue Card before attending. If you haven’t registered yet, scan the QR code on the graphic to access the online registration form.

And if you can’t make it today, we’ll also be distributing kits at The Inn, 115 John St., on Wednesday, September 2 and Thursday, September 3 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

We’re incredibly proud to share some exciting news!

The Inn of the Good Shepherd has been nominated for an Outstanding Business Achievement Award (OBAA) through the Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce!

While our work has always been centred around supporting individuals and families in our community, recognition like this means so much because it reflects the people behind that work.

Our staff who show up every day with compassion. Our volunteers who give their time so generously. Our donors, community partners and supporters who make so much of what we do possible. And, of course, the people we serve who trust The Inn to be there when they need support.

Everything we accomplish is truly a community effort.

We are so grateful to be recognized alongside so many incredible organizations making a difference throughout Sarnia-Lambton. Thank you to the Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce for this nomination, and thank you to everyone who continues to stand alongside The Inn.
