A battle is brewing in Mitton Village.

Mitton Village S’Mac & Cheese Throwdown is underway. Last year Sarnia Fire Rescue gathered boxes and helped Chrissy from Dog Eat Dog pull off the win. I challenge Sarnia Police Service to collect KD boxes in support of The Inn of the Good Shepherd - Sarnia and help The Eye Guy win this year. All food donations are welcome and if the Fire Dept want to switch teams that would be ok also. 😉

W**d Man's Grassroots Giving Food Drive is still on!
The team at W**d Man Sarnia will pick up donations such as:
● Canned goods (fish, meat, beans, fruits, & vegetables)
● Nutritional snacks for children's lunches
● Rice
● Boxed meals
● Peanut butter & jam
● Cereal
● Pasta & pasta sauce
● Low-sodium items
● Cooking oil
Donating is easy!
The day before your next lawn care application during the campaign, you will receive a text or email reminder about your next service.
During their visit, simply leave any food items for donation outside your front door (preferably in a box or bag).
W**d Man will collect all items while they are there and bring to The Inn!

❄️🧥 HELPING OUR COMMUNITY STAY WARM THIS WINTER! 🧥❄️

As the colder months approach, we know that purchasing winter clothing for the entire family can be a financial challenge. That's why The Inn and Temple Baptist Church are coming together for our Share the Warmth Winter Coat Event! 💙

Families in need of winter essentials are invited to join us for a morning dedicated to helping our community prepare for the colder weather.

📅 Saturday, October 24, 2026
⏰ 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
📍 Temple Baptist Church
1410 Quinn Drive, Sarnia (beside Walmart)

What's available?
🧥 Winter coats for children and adults
🥾 Winter boots
🧤 Hats and gloves
🧦 Warm socks

☕ We'll also have hot chocolate and treats available for everyone to enjoy!

A few important things to know before attending:

✅ Please bring ID for every family member receiving items, along with your Blue Client Card.
✅ Due to available quantities, children can receive a winter coat every year, while adults can receive one every other year.

Our goal is simple: to help ensure that families throughout our community have access to the warm clothing they need to face another Canadian winter.

Today, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what we’re most thankful for, and at the heart of it all is our incredible community.

To our volunteers who generously give their time, our donors who give what they can, our community partners who stand beside us, and everyone who helps us make a difference, thank you. Your kindness and compassion remind us every day of the power of a community that cares. ❤️

We also recognize that Thanksgiving looks different for everyone. For many of our neighbours, putting food on the table is a daily challenge. As we gather with loved ones and share in the spirit of gratitude, let’s remember those who may be facing difficult times.

At The Inn, we’re grateful to be part of a community that believes everyone deserves kindness, dignity, and a place at the table.
