On October 13, 1985, Regan and Patsy made the drive from La Ronge in their 1970 Ford Truck to spend their honeymoon at The Bessborough.

Decades later, after countless anniversary visits and a retirement celebration with friends, Regan says they’ve officially come "full circle" at the hotel.

We are so honoured to have served as the backdrop to 40 + years of incredible memories together. 🥂

The numbers are finally in 🔢🧐

Last month, we asked you to guess what it cost to build and furnish The Bessborough back in the 1930s.

Here's the unredacted clipping! The grand total came out to $3,567,459 - with $130,188 for the riverfront land, $3,036,304 for construction, and $400,965 for the original furnishings.

Many of you guessed impressively close to the actual number - nice work, everyone!

Forty years of painting a Prairie landmark. 🎨🌾

Barbara kindly shared these incredible archived works created by her late father, artist Fritz Stehwien, who spent decades capturing the changing seasons and evolving skyline of Saskatoon after their family moved from Germany to Canada in 1968.

From winter frost to fuller trees, The Bessborough remained his constant inspiration.
